Applications for Ships & Boats
Normal oil and filter changes for generator engines on vessels
range from 100 to 500 engine hours, depending upon the size
and type of the engine and crankcase capacity.
Normal oil and filter changes for the main engines on vessels
range from 300 to 1,500 engine hours, depending upon the type
of engine and crankcase capacity.
The Results
The PetroSavers Engine Oil Refiner has successfully extended
oil drains on 671, 8V-71, 8V92 and V16-149 Detroit Diesels
to an unprecedented 8,000 engine hours.
The PetroSavers Engine Oil Refiner has successfully extended
oil drains on all types of main engines, including, but not
limited to V16-645 EMD diesel (train) engines to 6,000 engine
hours.
One (1) PetroSavers customer, on just one boat installation,
has saved 4,128 gallons or 83 drums of oil over a two (2)
year period. At $3.05 per gallon, this represents a savings
of $12,590 in oil costs and an additional $2,649.00 in filter
costs; representing a total yearly savings of $15,239.00 or
more than $30,000.00 over a two (2) year period, excluding
labor and oil filter disposal costs.
Because of the individual PetroSavers system approach to each
engine’s crankcase capacity, the oil in each engine
is completely refined a minimum of five (5) times per hour,
regardless of the amount of oil in the crankcase.
All PetroSavers Engine Oil Refiner element pacs and engine
oil filters will last 20,000 miles or 2,000 engine hours before
needing to be changed.

"It's
been on there for about a year and a half, and that
oil is as clean today as it was when we put it on."
